D Ishmael is finally getting some focus time!!
Today
I begin a new storyline and it's gonna be based on Star
Trek. Bet ya couldn't tell huh!
I
actually had today's and Wednesday's strip already drawn
and plotted but I got stuck and didn't know where else
to go with this so I actually thought about just not
bothering with it and to use one of the filler stories
that I had drawn out earlier but as I was driving home
today, I had an epiphany! A moment of clarity. The story
just came to me from out of nowhere and I now know exactly
where I'm going with this. So stick around and find
out what our intrepid crew of the USS Suppressor, NCC-168
is up to!
Here's
an interesting little ancedote on how I came up with
USS Suppressor.
I
knew that I wanted a Star Trek story since I created
C D Ishamel so I planned the world around him and the
first thing that I needed was a ship. I also didn't
want to just take any of the existing ships so this
whole thing would be suit proof. I wanted a name that
would reflect my personality so I asked my friends and
colleagues to use just one word to describe me. Of all
the words that they used, "brave", "warm",
"kind", "wonderful", "sexy",
I found the word "suppressed" to be the most
suitable. Hence, suppressor. He he he. Good one huh!?!?!?
