What
did I say? I said that I was going to be holiday and
will be taking a break in June and the strip will return
in July. Didn't I say that? I'm sure I did.
I
was back in very late June and wanted to get right down
to it and get the update up on like 1st July or something
like that.
But
wouldn't you know it - my Mac had to break down. The
power supply apparently failed and I had to get it replaced.
I wentto this place and they said that they had to do
a diagnosis first. They couldn't. They knew that the
power supply failed and had to be replaced. I knew that
too. I didn't have to pay them like $50 to find out
what the problem was when I already knew that! That
took one week.
Then,
to do the repairs would cost me another $300, parts
and labor. Which I could spend on a whole new computer
instead by adding another couple of hundreds more. I
thought about that. But the new OS cannot support my
existing software or drivers. So I couldn't just get
a new computer. Thought about switching to my new PC
but then I could not access my files from this particular
HD so I gave that up too. In the end, I shelled out
the money to get it replaced.
When
it was repaired, I went to shop only to pick up the
wrong computer, i.e. someone else's computer. So I had
to get it returned and mine returned to me. That was
today. So I figured that I had better quickly get this
updated as I promised.
